Incident at Vidyasagar College

It has always been desirable that the dark side of politics should not enter the bounder of any educational institution.  But very unfortunately we witnessed a heinous act in the heart of ‘city of joy’ Kolkata. Some political intruders, submerging their basic etiquette, intrude into the Vidyasagar college premises. It is an utterly shameful act, which should not be forgiven at any circumstances. This incident pointed figure at all our integrity and made us realize what we are heading up to. 

It is reported that the lock of the main gate was broken and thereafter the office room of Vidyasagar college was demolished by some political goons. Perhaps, this incident once again proved that when a country is only driven by self-profit and education is no way given appropriate importance, the progress of the nation shall be gradually thwarted by the barbarism of anti-socialist. 

Breaking the sculpture of ‘Vidya Sagar’ inside the college premises was an act which was profoundly condemned by every single citizen of our nation. I, have no sympathy for any political party, neither do I hesitate to praise them for their developing activities. I am not bothered about the fact that under the leadership of which political party, this shameful act was conducted. But, I am shocked to see the uncultured and shameless act of some unlettered person who dared to break through the college gate and violent the fundamental principle of an Educational Organization. 

I think the time has arrived when we must change our perception towards life; especially it is really painful to see the brazen act of our politicians. Those who are unlettered they may not have the ability to foresee the crisis that we are going to encounter in near future. But those who are educated how come their self-esteem allow them to be a companion of such cruel act? They must feel ashamed for their inhumane activity, which is putting the entire civilization in danger. 

The politicians must think that they too have children and what impression are the going create on their own children by doing such shameless activities. They must now consider things from different point of view and lay all their emphasis to only develop our nation. It will not only earn respect from their family but also the entire nation will be grateful to them forever.
