Crisis during the time of Pandemic

Having spent a year under the threat of Covid, the situation now seems to have become quite worsen. In India people are dying in every second. There is no place in the country where the general lives of people are not affected by the vicious impact of the disease. In between this prolonged pandemic period the situation was relatively well during the winter month, from November 2020 to February 2021. However, that little span of relief from Covid somewhat pushed us to more threat. The government instead of taking precautions or getting ready for the unseen danger in the coming days rather opted to continue their campaign to get more votes in the coming elections in the nation. No one expected that the situation could turn so worse in such a short span of time. During the winter (November to February) we led our lives according to our own whim without concerning least about the foreseeing threat of Covid. We ignored all the protocols of government and WHO to dampen the danger of Covid in the coming days; we rather did everything that eventually led us to the edge of danger, where we are standing now just an inch away from complete extinction.

Most importantly, the role of our government during the span of winter, when the intensity of Covid was relatively less, is so surprising that no developing country in the world could support it. When the entire world was struggling to cop-up with the tough situation; our government, instead of taking measurement to combat the fierce pandemic, deployed all its attention and resources in irrelevant political issues. It is indeed shocking that in the time of crisis the government spent huge money on building religious temple instead of making hospitals or building medical infrastructure that has a very rudimentary base in our nation. Apart from that conducting election in different states of the nation in the time of pandemic is one of the major reasons to worsen the situation. Altogether, the effort from the end of our government should have been more positive and science driven than to just follow their baseless whim. We unfortunately witnessed quite the opposite throughout their reign, which brought about the present crisis that we all are facing.

The entire world is now praying for our nation which is indeed a fact of appreciation. Nonetheless, if we think the fact from the perspective of a developing nation that purposelessly endangered its own people due to its lack of intelligibility to comprehend the forthcoming danger, than it would be regarded as complete failure of a government. The inefficiency or incompetence that the government of our nation has showed to tackle the Covid situation the entire nation is now paying for that. Our neighboring nations like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal, who are in aspect of progress, lagging far behind from our nation, have also tactfully handled the situation that we must learn a lesson from. Time and again the pandemic has depicted our filthy infrastructure as well as incompetent rulers of the nation. When it was highly expected that the government would do something positive to turn the situation in favor of our nation; the government in contrast, disappointing all, simply begot further danger for its own people. Nonetheless, we hope that the situation soon turns around and likewise the nation would eventually lead a fear free life.

  1. Pretty apt and crisp. Doesn't beat around the bush. The amazing part of u is u don't actually play with words when u feel u have to convey something upfront , u just say it as it is. Time and again I've seen this streak in u. Just doesn't mean u aren't rhetoric enough. U very much are figurative and poetic as well as an incisive critic whenever the need be. It's this combination I want to inherit from u through my relentless pursuance and correspondence with u.
Anyhow, your critique of the government has brought home certain points such as its indifference and lackadaisical approach towards the management of good administration and its indiscriminate burning of assets over inconsequential issues and its attitude that they are ordained by God to rule over us has resulted in this disaster we are standing on the verge of. If we can't do anything now. We will be decimated and be known as an extinct race soon enough. Your alarm at the misfortune of people caused by the haughty and self assured government is very palpable. Overall, you haven't failed to provide me with a good read even on a bad day like this. Thank u loads. Keep going and delighting people like me
