Nowadays People from all classes possess an immense interest in plantations and from the perspective of business, horticulture can be regarded as one of the booming industries not only in West Bengal but all over the nation. Particularly if we talk about the growth of this specific industry in West Bengal then we cannot ignore the contribution of many rural places like Amtala, Basirhat, Shekharpur, Khargapur, and many more places like that.
The prerequisite aspect for the growth of this business is vacant land, the more land you have the more possibilities you would have to grow bigger in this profession. Therefore, in the rural area where land is quite cheap and the availability of the same is abandoned, growth shall be an inevitable part. There are mainly three segments in Horticulture namely, Fruit, Flower, and Indoor plants, although these days further classifications have been made to make it more precious. There come innumerable online programs on different segments of Horticulture which has motivated a large number of people to adopt this practice as their hobby.
On top of that, the various seasons in the state have a significant role in popularizing the practice of plantation, round the year. For an instance during the rainy season, most people prefer to plant deep-rooted plants like Fruit plants, avenue plants, etc; on the other hand during the winter colorful flowers increase the beauty of most of the roofs. The huge population and the wide spectrum of seasons have somewhat complimented one another to ultimately popularize the Horticulture subject amongst the general public of West Bengal.
