Value of Discipline

Nowadays watching motivational videos and reading motivational books have become a common practice or trend for the youth generation of 21st century. The youth of this generation believes that watching more and more emotional and inspirational videos can really help them to progress in life. They feel the motivation that they derive from a respective video or book gives them the reason to move forward with a positive attitude in life. But the question is that in the modern era where there is no scarcity of the medium of entertainment for the youth; in reality, to what extent do motivational videos or books can bring about a positive attitude in us?

Given a considerable thought, we can easily understand how rapidly the numbers of motivational speakers have increased all across the globe. In India alone in last one decade the numbers of motivational speakers have gone up by leaps and bounds whom we can watch mostly on YouTube and other social media platforms like Facebook. Nevertheless, the question is that is it really possible that by listing to motivational stories we get go well in life or is there something else that builds the true foundation in our character to get us going in a long race? In reality it is only discipline that actually paves the way for our development.

Motivational videos or books can hardly instigate a sudden prompt in us to do something with fierce passion but it can’t motivate us all the time until and unless we motivate ourselves within. Hence, it is obvious that in order to reach our desirable goal we have to be disciplined in life. Once we become consistent and regular in doing something we do not really need any outer means to get us going. Most importantly, the easy and open access to social channels like YouTube, where it is free for all to upload their own videos the actual value of the motivational videos do never get evaluated before publication.  To be successful in life it is thus, a pivotal factor to instil good habit and discipline in our character than anything else.
