The mere distinction between expectation and acceptance

Expectation seems to be the word that begets difficulties in our life. As a young kid we barely had any expectation from life and thus, life was indeed simple and full of happiness. With time as we grow old our expectations also expand eventually. The problem arises, only when there is conflict between our expectation and reality. Our expectation revolving each aspect of life seems to grow with our age; be it our expectation from parents or partner or our professional organization.

There is a subtle distinction between expectation and acceptance. In fact it is our approach towards every aspect in life that decides whether or not we can build a happy bonding with someone provided that how we consider things in life? We make perpetual endeavor lest any undesirable conflict in our relationship with our partner or friends. Now if we just try to recapitulate the fact that it is mainly our expectation from a relationship, regardless of its kind, solely decide the nature of it. Given it a serious thought, we would surely realize the essence of the fact that the root of almost every conflict of relationship in our life lies in our expectation.

Just imagine instead of feeding our expectation from others what if we learn to accept things as it is. Nonetheless, having said that I must also admit that it is quite impossible to accept every situation and event in life thus, I am here talking about acceptance of things that may make our life more blissful. Our expectation only intrigues our longing to let things turn, irrespective of its form, always in our favor. On the other hand acceptance teaches us to be humble and welcoming in life. It is solely our perception towards different element and phenomenon of life that ensures our happiness. The quicker we can contemplate that fact the sooner we shall elevate in life.
