Importance of English

The acceptance of “English language” has grown very fast all across the world and to some extent it is the importance and necessity to cop-up with the booming industry and other important aspects of international relationship made the language so popular all over the world.

In the modern era almost all the countries are very much dependent on the language in some way or the other, especially to spread out business and maintain a friendly international relationship, the English language has been given the most priority.

One of the main reasons for English to be so popular is that UK and the USA are the two strongest countries in the world who have been dominating almost in all the grooming sectors whether it is business or technology for more than a century.

England has a fascinating history of their colonies in all across the world and most importantly wherever they had their colonies, they always emphasized on “growing a business strategy” in that place. In turn their common language “English” got the most priority to spread out or fulfil their business strategies. In fact in the 21st century England still have their educational and community development policies which mainly done through several types of community development programs. Undoubtedly English has a significant role to comply with all their developments strategies all over the world.

On the other hand USA’s rapid growth in all the important sectors literally forced other nations to maintain a good relationship with them. Thus again as the medium of communication “English” has been the first choice.  Like England USA too has taken quite a few strategies to popularize the English language among the growing countries like India, Bangladesh etc.

When throughout the world the English language became so popular, still in our country the language has been given that priority in the government education system. Mostly the primary education in the rural areas like Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Malda, Mursidabd and many other places in India the regular government education system is not up to the mark.  Also in the government high schools English is not being considered according to its importance.
Therefore whether we accept or deny a clear distinction can be measured that an average student of English medium school has much better options and possibilities of grabbing a private job , whereas the govt. School student faces a lot of difficulties due to his poor communication skills and lack of confidence.

Since now a days English is the common and only medium to do the work in maximum  private and governments sectors, it is really important to have enough knowledge about the language to get the work done. Considering the present scenario where plenty of international companies are interested in spreading out their business in our country and the way things are changing there is no denial of the fact that without English it is next to impossible to have a respective life style. From entertainment to sports a new wave of culture has been introduced in our society which is mainly based on the English language. Commentators, anchors and many other professions entirely regarded as the way of entertainer these days, where English has a significant role to play. Thus very naturally those who are good at the language are being given the most priority and also have the privilege to avail a decent lifestyle, while the maximum students of government schools are not confident enough to take up those professions.

So I believe there should be some positive changes to the educational process of the government schools and along with our mother tough,  English should equally be given same priority to ensure that the govt. School students may also be capable of taking up any challenge to establish them in their professional life. Especially the rural areas of our nation need a drastic change in order to cop up with the modern society and play a vital role in the process of making a better society.
