Manchester United's first defeat in the season

Having kept a clean sheet in the EPL season 2017-18, Manchester United headed for their ninth game against the newly promoted side of EPL Huddersfield.

The home side that had experienced a defeat against Tottenham in their last premier league GAME, made a history as they defeated the much superior side Manchester United by 2-1 after 65 years.

David Wagner’s side undoubtedly had a much deserved win on 21/10/2017 and they proved that with solid determination and desire no task is impossible.

With a gap of five minutes Man United conceded two goals for the first time in the ongoing EPL season due to  sloppy defensive errors in both the occasion within 35 minutes.

Manchester United’s performance in their last match against Liverpool wasn’t at all impressive rather the home side Liverpool hadn’t missed the easy chances could have left the ground with 3 vital points. There were barely a few occasions when the Liverpool keeper was truly tested and on the other hand numerous saves of David De Gea confirmed a share of point  for his side.

Jose Mourinho the Man United Manager to some extent overreacted after their first defeat against Huddersfield. As he did not hesitate to blame his players on the press conference for the defeat right after the match. Mourinho’s straight forward statement on an interview “Man Utd attitude at Huddersfield was worse than a friendly match” definitely had a negative impact on the club management and the supporters. He had also criticized Rashford, who had said in an interview “Huddersfield players were much determined than us in today’s match” and made it an issue

Need not to say that after being defeated by a much weaker side and on top of that an argumentative statement from the manager won’t be a good indication for the Reds. Their performance in the last two EPL matches horrible gone done and also in the league table they went down at the second position with a 5 points difference from the league topper Manchester City.

Being the supporter of Manchester United I will hope for a positive comeback in the coming matches and expect that the unexpected comment of Jose Mourinho will not slow down the  winning pace of the team.
