‘Sight’
how precious the word, can only be realized by those who are not so privileged
to born with normal eye vision. Those, who are blind, remained unsatisfied forever
from seeing the beautiful world and all living beings in it. The pain that they
bear is something that can never be explained in words. It is really strange
that a blind person, if not be cured by operation, never gets to see things
that we the common people enjoy every day.
It
is a common phenomenon for all of us that in local trains’ blind beggars are begging
for alms. It is indeed a painful sight for all of us. Given a thought about how
tough and challenging lives seem to them, we feel fortunate for having the ability
to things normally. The blind people may not be lucky enough to have the normal
eyesight but they are endowed with a different power. It is their immense
determination and fighting-spirit which not only take them forward in life but
also motivate us to withstand any crisis with courage and determination.
They
are the most precious gift of god, who despite all their major difficulties in
lives never set-back. There are many examples like ‘Helen Keller’ and ‘Homer’
who have turned her physical obstacles into their opportunities and left their
mark in our mind forever. In fact the sightless people whom we see travelling
every day in local trains and beg to earn their living are themselves a great
inspiration for all us. They are special not because they don’t have normal eyesight
but for their willingness to overpower all the hazards of life.
