Pang of Hunger

Hunger is a word that is inexorably associated with our culture and nation. There are thousands of people in India those are struggling relentlessly to have necessary amount of food every day. The destitute children those are growing up on street and do not have a decent life style like what we are used to, almost every moment realize the real pang of hunger. The food that they manage to eat is somewhat most of us may not consider as an eatable item. But hunger forces them to eat anything and everything that they manage to earn.

Given it a thought we would realize that hunger is the utmost factor that we all work for. Other than food there is not anything without which our life would be unmanageable, whether it is accommodation, dress or any other necessary stuff that we use every day can never be compared to the necessity of food. Spending a day or two without food, perhaps none of us can imagine, because our body constantly requires energy and food is the only source other than sun light that can produce energy in us. In fact, the basic reason we all work for is to fulfill our apatite and having met the most salient aspect of life we then consider any other factors.

Nonetheless, due to class system and economic disparity in our society there is also remarkable divergence of the listing of food. It is quite a concerning matter that whereas a group of people eat and even waste food without a second thought, there is large number of people of struggling classes and their children suffer immensely  from the pang of hunger. Children of the backward classes literally scream from the unbearable pain of apatite. They fight, they cry and they crumble for a piece of bread where children of affluent and well to do families barely realize the actual pang of hunger in their lives.

So much of foods are being wasted everyday in big hotels and in many families, while, there are innumerable families in our society who go hungry many days due to absence of food. This irrational disparity of food distribution is something quite hard to bring under control within a short period. It requires several initiatives from our own end and one of such major initiatives is to ensure that we should not waste food. We must realize the essence of the fact that being a responsible citizen of the nation if we can take small measurements and do not waste food then it can fulfill the hunger of many.

We must also make our children realize the value of food so that when they grow up then would never waste least of food and comprehend the actually importance of it. They should bear a heart that would feel for every suffering people from the shortage of food. We also need to teach our next generation about taking care of the resources like forest and the eco-system for the smooth supply of food in future.

Most importantly, we have to understand that the storage of food for entire world is just like a container that we keep at our kitchen. The process of keeping our resources of food available is almost same like keeping the container of our kitchen full of food round the year. We must keep feeling the container of the world so that it can meet up the hunger of all and never fall short of necessary natural food items. Here, it is utterly important to ensure that we should not waste least amount of food because we must remember the fact that what is surplus for us may fulfill many peoples’ apatite.
