Obligation

Obligation is a tool to the superior classes of the society to maltreat the backward or financially weak people. For centuries, poor have been deprived of their basic right under the obligation they are into. Since the time of pre-Independence of our nation, the British and Indian landlords made fool of the poor farmers in the name of loan. Once the people of lower strata of the society came under the obligations of ‘Nilkar Saheb’ they couldn’t free themselves up from that ever.

The time flew by and with that we have progressed far ahead than where we really began, yet, the practice of exploitation remained almost unchanged. The form or process of deprivation has definitely changed a lot. In the modern society where we see different types of initiatives have been taken to eradicate deprivation and exploitation, in reality these are just the means to shield the upper classes of people in a legislative manner. The protocol itself is so bewildering that like past its complex from regardless   misguided the underprivileged people.

In 21st century although civilization has progressed by leaps and bounds in every sphere of lives, still there is a large number of people who are being deprived badly in everyday. Mostly, it is taking advantage of their financial inability the upper classes are making fool of them almost at every step. A large number of people of the urban area are forced to work relentlessly for very less remuneration. The value of education is never given its due respect as a consequence poor are getting poorer and rich are growing further. There are innumerable people who despite having talent have to sacrifice their career for very rudimentary support of the rich that gradually becomes an immense obligation for the poor.

The shape and form of that obligation is so farm that once one gets into it, they just enmeshed into it more and more. Hundreds of people are being deprived of their basic rights, be it remuneration or duration of work. The means of exploitation is so vast that it can never be captured by any theory or project. It looks the process of exploitation under the pressure of obligation shall remain in our society forever.
