Basically there are three forms of English prose
writing that is Descriptive, Narrative and Expository. However, from the
perspective of a general reader we look for two sides of a write-up. One which
is informative and the other one is aesthetic. Articles which are packed up
with information on a particular subject may arouse interest in reader. But
according to my personal opinion, it is the aesthetic side of any piece of
writing makes it popular among the readers.
For an instance, we come across many articles
everyday on different news papers, novels or short stories but it is only a few
of them which always remains intact in our memory. It is the artistic aspects
of those writing which touches our heart. It is also true that we often look
for information and thus, it is equally important that an article should
contain adequate information so that the readers can be benefited.
But, readers don’t always read to seek information,
now if we talk about the personal essays of Farnsis Bacon we would follow that
he has employed many figure speeches along with terse, epithet in his essays
which have certainly made his article lucid and popular. Therefore, there
must be certain balance of information and artistic beauty in any piece of
literature. An article which is only based on some information and does not contain
any aesthetic beauty in its formation it may not be always catch the highest
attention of the reader, as there are abundant ways through which we can access
about any necessary information. Thus, it is invariably desirable that any sort
writing must have equilibrium of information and attractive style of writing.
