Although the concept of ordering
food online and getting it delivered at home, is quite well known all across the
world and even in many regions of our country for many years. But it has only
been a year or so that the concept in real means got popularity among the lower
middle classes like us. Indeed the method had made it convenient for people to
get desirable service and food both just at a few clicks. Besides, the options
are more available online then we can imagine in reality. It is pretty much
impossible for one to check the dishes or menu of every possible restaurant in
the locality before they go for a lunch or dinner. On the other hand the mobile
apps like ‘Zomato’, ‘Swiggy’ etc. made it feasible for the buyers to get every
possible information including the dishes of any restaurants in his/her
locality.
However, just like any other
aspect, this online facility does have some negative impact as well. There were
a news couple of months back where it was shown that a delivery boy unpacked an
order and had some bites from it, before he made the delivery. Apart from that
often it also raises quality concern of the food that is being delivered at
home. It is also true that due to the availability of so many options we, the
normal people, now hardly consider the street foods, which were also an
integral part of our evening-snacks few years back. Nowadays, people are very
much concerned about their health and thus their preferences generally hover
around the popular restaurants who certainly maintain some hygienic method while
preparing foods.
Nonetheless, despite its both negative
and positive sides, we must all agree to the fact that this online concept of
delivering food at home ultimately reduced our effort and at the same time gave
us a means to make our family members happy with many delicious dishes. Above
all, it has also created many jobs for delivery boys and created a new market
for business. It has also eased the lifestyle of students who stay far from
their home and endowed them with verity of choices to pick their food from.
