Value of Time

Time is regarded as the most precious aspect in one’s life. Almost we can get everything back in our life, be it treasure or any material object. But, time is the only thing that can’t be retrieved once it is gone. Elders say that we must learn to value time or we will have to regret in life. As a student when we go to school or college, we don’t really feel the exact magnitude of time and misuse it by doing something that really doesn’t make much sense. When we grow little older we gradually begin to feel its essence. With every year passing by we become mature and learn to value time. It is said that everybody has their own limited time span in which one needs to live his/her lives. None of us can ever over-live nor extend the time period that we have been allotted by our destiny.

The most important secrets for one to be successful in life is to make the proper use of time. As a child, we are being taught to do all our activities within the given time. At school , at the very early age we experience how our classes are being  conducted for a stipulated time and from there the prevailing systems of our society teach us to complete things within the given time. Having completed our school life when we step into professional life there also we realize the value of time.

Never in our professional life we are being allotted abundant span of duration to accomplish any project. There is always the pressure to complete the task within the given period. Just like our professional life, when one enters the retirement period, although it is believed that the retired person will have enough of leisure time, but in reality we actually try hard to put things into place. We feel anxious for our next generation and try hard to complete all our tasks before we embark upon the journey for the unknown world, which is an inevitable part of our lives.

Regardless of the success one may achieve in life, time seems to be a factor that almost all feel inadequate about. In order to live the life according to one’s wish we must instill discipline in our character. Nonetheless, we must also invariably feel the importance of time and teach the youths to realize the same as well.  It is always better to make use of our time at present and make our life more attractive than wasting our time in unproductive activities which will bring about only frustration in our life in future.
