Friendship beetween both genders (Male and Female)

In the modern society, when we have achieved so much of successes almost in every sphere of life, be it in science or technology, we are yet to upgrade our thinking in comparison to such remarkable progress. By saying ‘thinking’, I tried to emphasize on our orthodox culture and prejudice that most of us bear in our character in a great amount. 

Although, nowadays we are trying to adapt to the western culture without any consideration and even to some extent we have succeeded in doing so. However, still in many parts of Bihar, west Bengal and Orissa people blindly follow their old culture and friendship among boys and girls are generally not accepted by the society. 

We have made so much of progress and discovered the history beyond the Earth. We have revealed the secret of the transformation of the Galaxy, with the invention of the ‘Big Bang’ theory. Nonetheless, when it comes to be open minded and welcome any cultural or religious changes, most of the people of our society seem to be reluctant. Given the fact that in the era of globalization, our approaches towards relationship are also changing but somewhere we got stuck in the issue of friendship between a boy and girl.

Leaving, some metropolitan cities of our country, parents of mostly semi urban areas like Bihar, Chhattisgarh feel that friendship between two different genders should not be supported. In maximum cases the protest first comes either from the girls’ families or from the society against the girls. When, there are so many government projects are running for years for the development of girls, girls, in real means are yet to taste true freedom in a holistic pattern. The ill conception that two people of different genders cannot be friends should no way be tolerated or supported.  In order to be a successful nation, we should allow our girls to go out and explore the world. It must also be understood that women are the only creature of the god that have the special ability to give birth. Thus, without their presence or their progress our country can’t move forward. 

I think, this is the high time for us to change our orthodox perception and allow boys and girls to get along with each other. We need to remember that with time passing by the progress of science and technology will pave the way for new development and also create many opportunities in the field of professional life. Hence, working together for girls and boys is and will be an inevitable part of any professional sector in near future. I very much feel that those who still bear an orthodox perception in their nature and always blame the young generation for their extrovert approach should change their consideration and appreciate the youth.  

Having said that, I no way blindly support the misbehavior of this generation, they must also show some respect to their own culture and seniors. There were incidents in recent past when in many occasions teenager couples, were beaten up elders for their unaccepted behavior. Therefore, to maintain peace and equilibrium in the system both the young and old generation have to work hand in hand and need to show empathy to each other. 

Last but not the least we must not forget that gender equality which is the prerequisite factor for development; invariably support the progress of girls along with our boys. Progress will only be visible when friendship between boys and girls will be deemed as pure as a friendship between two boys or girls. It is all about our consideration and acceptance of things as they are meant to be instead of bearing prejudices in our mind.
